Change Makers Boot Camp, Hosted by the Huron River Watershed Council (HRWC)

Where: Belleville Library, 167 4th Street
When: February 23, 6-8 pm
Cost: Free!
Registration required. Sign up here.

Local governments function best when members of their communities get involved. You can step up and voice your concern for clean water!
Since 2018 HRWC has been providing free Change Makers Boot Camps to teach participants basic information about our local water–how it moves, the life giving benefits it provides, how it is threatened, and how we can protect it.

These Boot Camps also cover how local governments can protect water and how citizens, like you, can get involved in the process. So far, 129 people have attended one of the 2-hour Boot Camps. These Change Makers have taken action by giving feedback on planning policies, writing letters and meeting with their local representatives, and a few have even run for local elections and now hold elected positions.

HRWC Change Makers receive ‘heads up’ information on timely opportunities to protect local land and water. They also become part of a community of citizens who advocate for a healthy Huron River.

The February 23 Boot Camp will cover our Boot Camp basics, including a special focus on the Belleville area’s local municipalities–how they function and how the public can influence policies that protect waterways.

Registration required. Please sign up here.

Your voice matters! Make clean water for drinking and recreation a priority in your community. All are welcome.
